Hobson's Choice-  an apparently free choice that offers no real alternative.

The series Hobson's Choice is about the illusion of choice.  In these pieces the rhetoric of display suggests a multiple choice test, but a single selection is neither required nor warranted. All of the choices offered are valid, and any single choice is incomplete.  This series investigates  the shortsightedness of the "or" (this thing is this or that, the basis of both classical logic and common sense) and celebrates the power of the "and", (this thing is this and that and the other...), the basis of poetic or artistic understanding. In the process, I get to have some fun commenting upon religion, art and politics.
